This week we’re looking at the 2015 Hyundai Azera Limited. Positioned in the models available from Hyundai at the top is the Equus then Genesis and then Azera. They are similarly top quality luxury cars.
General Information: It is assembled in Asan, Korea; Parts – US/Canadian 5%, Korea 83%; Engine and transmission – Korea; Classification is Large Cars. Cars from Hyundai: Accent, Azera, Elantra, Elantra Touring, Equus, Genesis, Genesis Coupe, Santa Fe, Sonata, Sonata Hybrid, Tucson, Veloster, Veracruz.
Handling & Performance:
All competition noted are very similar V6 engines and fuel economy and they all handle well.
The Active Eco system improves fuel economy but more importantly it improves the smooth operation that you will instantly notice on your test drive.
Active ECO modifies engine and transmission response. You get smoother takeoffs, and the transmission tends to shift to higher gears sooner and isn’t as quick to downshift for passing. It also cuts off the fuel supply during deceleration. Hyundai says all this electronic management can increase fuel economy as much as 7 percent.
Elegant look and feel inside and out.
Fit and Finish:
Very good and every bit as good as the more expensive badges like Toyota’s Lexus, Nissan’s Infiniti and Honda’s Acura line.
Among the best in terms of value for the dollar.
Conveniences and comfort:
Great long list of features I look for in today’s cars. It is at the top of the heap in ride quality and comfort.
Complimentary for one year on most new Hyundai vehicles, this comprehensive safety and car care package offers peace of mind. In the event of an accident, no matter where you are, trained operators are standing by to provide assistance and emergency help. Automatic Collision Notification
Your vehicle will automatically call for help so you don’t have to worry about a thing. Hyundai Blue Link is a fully integrated connected vehicle system using an embedded telematics to gather vehicle Car Care information such as Monthly Vehicle Health Report and Automatic Crash Notifications. The system utilizes mobile apps to allow owners to Remote Start, Stop, Lock or Unlock their Hyundai. It also has the ability to immobilize the vehicle in times of it being carjacked. All of this is tied together with voice recognition.
If you are looking at Mercedes, BMW, Audi, Lexus or Infiniti for example you will want to include Hyundai and sister company Kia in your search. I know you’ll be impressed with the Hyundai and Kia products.
